What is Healing Touch?
Healing Touch is an energy-based therapy developed within the nursing profession that works with the body’s energetic field to support relaxation, balance, and whole-person well-being. The practice focuses on helping the nervous system shift into a restorative state where the body can release stress and reconnect with its natural rhythms.
Originally developed by nurses as part of holistic patient care, Healing Touch is now practiced in integrative wellness settings around the world.
At Brahmaloka Healing Arts, Healing Touch sessions are guided by Lauren Mangelinckx, Registered Nurse, Reiki Master, Certified Healing Touch Practitioner, and Clinical Herbalist. Her work blends traditional energy healing modalities with a clinical understanding of the mind–body connection.

What is Healing Touch?
Healing Touch is a relaxing, nurturing, heart-centered energy therapy that uses gentle, intentional touch that assists in balancing physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.
Healing Touch is a collection of standardized, noninvasive techniques that clear, energize, and balance the human and environmental energy fields. Healing Touch assists in creating a coherent and balanced energy field, supporting one’s inherent ability to heal. It is safe for all ages and works in harmony with, is complementary to, and may be integrated with standard medical care.
Research suggests that Healing Touch is beneficial in calming anxiety and reducing symptoms of depression, decreasing pain, strengthening the immune system, enhancing recovery from surgery, complementing care for neck and spine problems, deepening spiritual connection, supporting cancer care, creating a sense of well-being, easing acute and chronic conditions, and supporting resiliency in health care providers.
In 1989, Janet Mentgen, an energetically sensitive nurse and practicing RN of 43 years, formally created Healing Touch as an energy medicine program. In 1993, Healing Touch was certified by the American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA). That same year, Janet formed The Colorado Center for Healing Touch dedicated to bringing Healing Touch to millions of people throughout the world.

Where is Healing Touch Used?
Healing Touch is taught and practiced in a wide variety of settings including hospitals, long-term care facilities, private practices, hospices, homes, spas, and other settings around the world.
What happens during a Healing Touch Session?
In-Person Healing Touch Sessions are available at the Westminster, Colorado office location. Email me, call me, text me, schedule with me through my scheduling page, or use the Connect Page to reach me if you have any questions. In-Person sessions are done at my Westminster, Colorado location at the Sheridan 81 Professional Arts building. DISTANCE (REMOTE) sessions are always available to anyone in the United States. This is done via either connecting through Google Meet or phone call with the provider. No matter whether you do in-person or remote, the initial session is 105 minutes in length which includes review of your Intake Form in addition to providing the Healing Touch session. All subsequent sessions will start with a brief check-in and will be 90 minutes in length. Wear comfortable clothes and either sit or lie down in a comfortable position for the duration of the session. In a Remote session, the provider uses intention and focus while visualizing your body on the massage table while using powerful Healing Touch techniques. In an In-Person session, the provider will use gentle touch along with intention and focus while using powerful Healing Touch techniques. People frequently report feeling deeply relaxed and peaceful during and after the session. Because there may be a cumulative effect of using Healing Touch over time, regular sessions are recommended.
